Our History
Arden First Baptist Church began as a dream of people living in south Buncombe County in the 1950s. They saw the need for a Baptist church in the area and began praying and planning to make that dream a reality. On October 18-19, 2008, AFBC celebrated 50 years of ministry. The history of the church is filled with stories of the local body of Christ striving to be the community God has called it to be under the lordship of Jesus Christ.
