Service Opportunities
Great Commission Fund (GCF)
GCF is a year-long mission giving opportunity that provides funds to support our lcoal, state, national and global mission initiatives. Money given to GCF is distributed based on the following percentages: AFBC mission projects - 35%; Buncombe Baptist Association - 20%; State Missions - 20%; Benevolence - 15%; World Hunger - 10%.
Community Food Pantry
Each month members of AFBC deliver boxes of food to families in our community. The pantry is stocked with non-perishable food items donated by church members. This ministry is in partnership with ABCCM. Items for the pantry can be placed in grocery carts found in the breezeway and atrium.
Greater Things 2013
This summer, members of AFBC will join togeter for a local mission emphasis July 17-21. We will display the love of Christ and share the gospel with neighborhoods surrounding the church through home repair projects, backyard Bible clubs and other acts of service.
