Mission of AFBC Youth Ministry:
Know. Grow. Go.
To develop mature disciples of Christ by cultivating a relationship with God and others (know); developing an authentic faith in Jesus Christ (grow); and demonstrating a committed Christian life by engaging in missions (go).
Weekly Schedule
Sundays @ 9:45am - Know Time
Wednesdays @ 6:10pm - Youth-led prayer time; 6:30pm - Grow Time
During Know Time youth in grades 6-12 gather for fellowship (with breakfast!), worship, prayer and Bible Study. For Grow Time, Bible study groups are offered for middle school girls, middle school boys, high school girls, high school boys.
Our current study: Community ~ discovering what it means to be part of the body of Christ as we discover lessons from the early church.
Student Leadership Teams
In order to fulfill our mission of Know, Grow, Go youth in grades 8-12 are invited to participate on a Student Leadership Team. Each team is responsible for planning and giving input into a different part of our mission. The leadership teams give youth the opportunity to participate in hands-on ministry as we strive to Know, Grow, Go. Each youth that serves on a leadership team is paired with an adult mentor for the purpose of encouragement and discipleship.
